I HEAR YOU! I am suffering from alcoholism. I used to be a pothead for 15 years. Then I switched to alcohol. I think it’s just your brain mind-set to become addicted. Weed sucks in that you will waste your life. But alcohol will kill you and/or others. I never drank and drove. That is a fucking lethal mix. I say all fucking drugs are bad news. Yet I can’t quit em, no matter how hard I try. Addiction sucks.

How absurd is it to say one drug is safer than another? It’s like admitting the ‘safer’ drug is still bad for you. I wasted 10 good years smoking pot every day. It didn’t kill me, but I could have done so much more in that time.

If you drive drunk– ever– you may be an alcoholic. Drunk drivers kill innocent people. Never drive drunk.

I’ve read somewhere that it also could help slow the risk of alzheimers disease.

THC is also neuroprotective and HU-210 a synthetic cannbinoid actually promotes neurogenesis in the hippocampus the part of the brain responsible for formation of long-term memory.

And alcohol is just…well FUBAR. Basically almost any drug is safer than alcolol.

DoctorBudd November 6, 2009 at 12:46 am

Yeah but I’m pretty sure that more deaths are caused by alcohol. The legal drug.

JonnyTommyGuns November 6, 2009 at 1:16 am

Drugs are very lethal if abused but what really intrigues me is that marijuana is the safest and one of the most beneficial herbs that exist yet alcohol and tobacco remain legal and marijuana illegal despite combine 500,000 alcohol and tobacco related deaths in the USA alone. You would have to smoke your body weight in marijuana to OD on it and that is impossible because by the time you got finished with your second pound the first pound would have already wore off and you would fall asleep.

Wernicke Korsakoff syndrome is cause by extreme alcohol abusers that are malnourished to begin with apparently lacking the B1 vitamin. It’s hard to if alcohol is more dangerous than meth because they are so different. They are both extremely dangerous as is any drug and any drug should be taken in moderation. Too much of anything will kill you.

DoctorBudd November 6, 2009 at 2:26 am

Oh yeah alcohol is the only drug that can give you seriously bad miserable withdrawals that can actually kill you. Not even meth or heroin can do that to you. LOL!

DoctorBudd November 6, 2009 at 2:34 am

Did I actually say that? If I did, lol. But from a serious standpoint. Yeah meth probably is safer than alcohol. Alcohol is a seriously dangerous drug and does a lot of nasty damage to your brain and organs.

Meth isn’t safe either but you don’t ever hear of people getting diseases like Wernicke Korsakoff syndrome which is a serious neurological impairment or cirrhosis of the liver from meth. And alcohol causes a lot of car wrecks.

So meth is kinda safer. LOL! More like alcolol, amirite?

10thFloorInc November 6, 2009 at 3:27 am

are you fucking high? so you think meth is better for you than alcohol? jesus christ.

seethootss November 6, 2009 at 4:19 am

I AM! HAHAHAHA

TheCaptainLulz November 6, 2009 at 4:56 am

alcoholics know when it has become a dependancy, most just have trouble admiting it. The effects of withdrawl are awful, I know. I am one such alkie.

resistantchris November 6, 2009 at 5:01 am

general medical summary, Stress, anxiety and emotional pain are so subjective though. I know of recovering alcoholics that drank when the day could not seem any more better than it could, yet all it took was that suble mental twist that turns sane to insane idea of taking that first drink. But in my opinion what really makes alcoholism such a baffling illness is that even when an alcoholic is stone cold sober they cannot resist that first drink.

why is that guy’s stethoscope so long?

psychawareness November 6, 2009 at 5:50 am

Alcoholism and hypoglycemia are closely linked. The powers that be are for the most part ignorant of this or there is a position where it is more beneficial for them to ignore what is obvious.

Sakamachi25 November 6, 2009 at 6:08 am

Same here.

MikeRoch6969 November 6, 2009 at 6:53 am

Ryanpusslover November 6, 2009 at 7:16 am

your right i still drink but I ask my self that all the time more then you know

monsterhockey7 November 6, 2009 at 8:00 am

Alcoholism, for me, isn’t a disease. I have a choice whether or not I’m going to drink, people with cancer don’t have a choice, I’m sure the guy with HIV can understand. A liter of 103proof bourbon a nite was needed to function, with beers and weed, and whatever else was on the buffet. Now I have over 7 months, and yeah AA helped. But I had to realize that my life is gonna keep going, do I wanna waste it fucked up 24/7, or do I want to make it meaningful to the only one that matters, ME!!!

DoctorBudd November 6, 2009 at 8:32 am
